Harley-Davidson has unveiled a production version of its LiveWire electric bike at its museum during the company’s 115th anniversary celebrations in Milwaukee.
The bike, set to be launched in 2019, is based on the LiveWire concept bike that Bikesales first rode in 2014 and gets a steel trellis frame, Showa suspension, Brembo brakes, rear set pegs, belt drive, and a TFT instrument panel with diagnostics and full connectivity for a smartphone.
There’s still no word on performance or range parameters, but we’d expect those to become available during the upcoming international show season.
The LiveWire will be built – much to Donald Trump’s delight, no doubt! – at Harley-Davidson’s manufacturing plant in York, Pennsylvania.
Harley-Davidson intends to introduce a series of electric motorcycles in the next few years, and the LiveWire will be the first.
