KTM has unveiled a higher-spec Rally version of its popular 890 Adventure R, with the limited-edition model set to arrive on Australian shores in early 2024.
The new 2024 KTM 890 Adventure R Rally will be limited to just 100 units across Australian and New Zealand, and KTM will be taking online pre-orders from September 21st.
Priced at $39,299 ride away, the 890 Adventure R Rally adds up-spec WP XPLOR PRO suspension with 270mm of travel, an Akrapovic slip-on, a race-specific Rally seat, heavy duty wheels, wide Rally footpegs, carbon tank guards, a rear master cylinder guard, engine protection, a Supersprox rear sprocket, new fork guards, a new Rally graphics kit, and Euro 5b homologation.
Also included as standard on the Rally is the Tech Pack, which includes motor slip regulation, cruise control, a quickshifter, and Rally mode, and also a connectivity unit which is compatible with the KTMconnect smartphone app.
The standard KTM 890 Adventure R was released in 2021 and given a slight refresh in 2023. It is powered by a 889cc parallel-twin motor and has a rugged chassis that is designed for significant off-road use as well as tarmac riding.
KTM released a Rally version at the time of the bike’s launch in 2021 but it did not return in 2022 and 2023. The 2024 Rally variant is designed to offer even more off-road performance and features parts and design elements inspired by the Red Bull KTM 450 Rally bike used by Kevin Benavides at Dakar.
The online pre-order for Australian and New Zealand customers will go live at 7:00pm AEST on September 21, however this is separate to the European and North American pre-order which is live from September 20. Visit the official KTM website for more information.
