H-D pricing on Blackline and XL1200C

The two new bikes have been officially launched in Australia, one aimed at current H-D owners and the other at "new to brand” and "new to motorcycling” clientele

Harley-Davidson has announced its two new models, the FXS Blackline and XL1200C Sportster, will retail in Australia for $27,995 and $17,895 rideaway.

The duo was officially launched at last week’s tattoo expo in Sydney, where Harley-Davidson had a huge presence.

The XL1200C
, which now extends the XL family’s share of Harley-Davidson’s total product mix to 22 percent, is aimed at “new to brand” and “new to motorcycling” customers – men and women aged from 25-25.

In contrast, the FXS Blackline is pitched more towards trying to woo current 1200 Custom, Nightster and Street Bob owners, as it seeks to deliver “the premium look these customers want by delivering style and edge with minimal content”.

The Blackline is available now, and the XL1200C next month.
