Guzzi hits the road again

Moto Guzzi's long-awaited Griso, the 1100cc concept bike first shown a couple of years ago, is finally to hit the road for the 2006 model year

After a considerable period in stasis, while issues like ownership of the company and whether or not it could pay its bills were sorted out, the firm says it is now very much back in business. The machine claims 88 horses at 7600rpm from its powerplant, which is essentially an updated version of the two-valver. Fuel injection is onboard, while the stainless steel exhaust system employs a catalyser.

With a six-speed gearbox, the 227kilo machine claims a 200kmh top speed.
