Vespa’s latest take on the GTS 300 Super – its most powerful scooter -- will be released in Australia this month for $8790, complete with two-channel anti-lock braking, traction control and newly redesigned front suspension. The updated machine is called the 300 Super FL.
The shock absorber is now fixed to the trailing arm with a hinged pin, whereas it was previously bolted on rigidly. By increasing suspension slide, Vespa claims riding comfort is increased with better absorption qualities, “ensuring a perfectly fluid, relaxing and safe ride”.
The 300 Super FL has a new seat design, while the speedometer gets an integrated digital and analogue display upgrade. Daytime LEDs are now located in new front indicators, and the rear taillight housed in a chrome surround.
There’s now a USB port in the front glove compartment, and the new GTS is now compatible with the Vespa Multimedia Platform, an accessory which can be purchased allowing smartphones to be utilised as multifunction display tools.
Visually, the GTS Super FL has five-spoke rims with gloss black finish, while the footboard central cover is now embossed with the Vespa logo.
The GTS 300 Super FL will be sold in a choice of four colours: Rosso Dragon (Red), Monte Bianco (White) Nero Lucido (Black) and Blue Gaiola (Blue).
