GT1000 takes a touring slant

Logical move by Ducati

Ducati's GT1000 retro machine is now available in mile-munching configuration, complete with a tall screen, higher handlebars, chrome luggage rack and - although one for the senses only - chrome front and rear fenders.

The GT1000 Touring, as it will be officially known, has an USD fork, adjustable rear suspension and Brembo brakes.

The bike is powered by an air-cooled two-valve fuel-injected L-twin Desmo engine.

It's now available in a black and white stripe livery for $18,990 (price before statutory and dealer charges).
