Griso special edition on sale from January

Tasty matte green livery

Moto Guzzi has added some more flair to its 2010 line-up with the release of the Griso 8V special edition.

Based on the Griso 8V, the SE takes the standard machine to the next level predominantly as a design exercise, and features a saddle upholstered in premium leather with visible stitching, "Tenni" graphics in matte green, a black frame, 'racing' footrests, an all-black powertrain, a black instrument panel housing, and the piece de resistance -- trick-looking chrome spoke wheels instead of cast.

The Tenni was a popular Moto Guzzi model in the 1980s.

The SE, a "virtual scalpel on two wheels" according to Moto Guzzi, features the same eight-valve donk as found in the standard Griso, producing 110hp at 7500rpm and 108Nm at 6400rpm.

The SE will go on sale next month at $24,290, $800 above the Griso 8V.
