Over signage on Aussie roads – it’s a head spin. There’s one to tell us a road ahead may be a little bumpy – which turns out to be a minor ripple; those annoying ‘police enforcing speed in high-risk area’ flashing signs – when there hasn’t been a crash on that stretch in living memory; and road works signs dropping the speed limit back to 40km/h on a major carriageway when there’s nothing actually happening. Everything really. As the motorcycle market contracted with financial turmoil, bike companies reined in their R&D spending and the result was very few updates to compelling bikes. Perhaps the golden years are behind us and this will be the way of things for the next few decades - far fewer changes year-on-year to big selling dirt and sport bikes?

Aussie motorists – car, truck and motorcycle – who refuse, deliberately or otherwise, to keep left on highway dual carriageway.
