Gripe of 2010

A few standouts we probably would not have expected at the start of the exercise, but there you go

Mark Fattore
State governments beating the same old drum about speed being the only cause of road trauma. It's becoming tired and people have switched off and lost interest. And in Victoria, where the Bikesales Network is based, this year's major motorcycle 'safety' campaign by the TAC was poorly executed, and painted a negative picture of an endeavour that most people are passionate about. For some positive motorcycle safety messages, look at what the SA government is doing with Mick Doohan -- great stuff. Let's face it: certain state governments are hooked on speeding fine revenues, at the same time preaching the tired message that speed kills. Something is not right.

Boot leather care spruikers at motorcycle expos – can’t they understand not everyone wants their boots to look like new?

How about gripe of the century? Lack of courtesy on the road, and especially motorists who don't use their indicators when merging or changing lanes. Petty, I know, but it still grates.
