Grabham wins in Morocco

The Australian off-road legend has won the final stage of the Rally of Morocco, and jumped up three spots to finish sixth in the overall standings

Australia’s Ben Grabham has completed an ideal build-up to the 2014 Dakar Rally by winning the final stage of the Rally of Morocco on Saturday, October 19.

Grabham, a KTM Australia support rider, completed stage six in two hours, 26  minutes and 39 seconds, to finish ahead of Portugal’s Helder Rodrigues (Honda, 1:18 behind) and Kurt Caselli (KTM, 2:41 behind),

Grabham’s victory saw him climb up three spots to finish sixth overall, with the rally won by Honda’s Paolo Goncalves ahead of multiple Dakar winner Marc Coma (KTM) and Joan Barreda (Honda).

Goncalves also wrapped up the 2013 Cross-Country Rallies World Championship, with defending champion Coma second. Goncalves and Coma were both riding new factory rally bikes from Honda and KTM respectively.
