"It's not easy trying to describe how good this bike is to ride, so we thought we'd just throw customers the keys and let them take one for a spin," said Triumph Australia's Paul Grocutt.
As part of the introduction of the model, dealer service personnel recently received service training in Melbourne, direct from Global Technical Training Co-ordinator Chris Willis, who visited Australia recently.
Steve Brouggy's Australian Superbike School has a pair of 675s available for track days at the Eastern Creek and Philip Island. "They're just damn fast," said Steve, "after changing the gearing and fitting GP compound tyres, the one I've been playing with was just two seconds shy of the real superbikes."
Steve and his team have also been busy in the workshop and are now offering suspension fitting as well as tyres, brakes and other goodies to keep customers happy.
The first 90 bikes into the country have been sold, which has created a short waiting time for some people. Available in three colours (red, yellow and graphite) the 675 retails for $14,890 (plus ORC) and comes with a two-year warranty.
