Road bike sales overtook dirt bikes for the first time in many years, scoring 23,438 versus 20,228.
"The greater number of road bike sales represents a significant changing of the guard in the motorcycle scene," said Peter Sturrock, FCAI Chief Executive.

Scooters have seen another spectacular growth in sales for the first six months of this year, with the market as a whole rising by about 60 per cent.
The top-selling model was the Bug Jive 50, with 573 units sold. Similar size machines filled out the top six places in the sales charts.
