Wollongong is bracing itself for stormy weather this weekend, with a 1400-bike-strong Thunder Run – a highlight of the 2016 Harley Days event – due to rumble through the city's streets on the morning of Sunday, October 30.
The massive cavalcade will be led by Harley-Davidson ambassador Caroline Buchanan, the Olympic BMX rider, and the all-girl motorcycle club, The Throttle Dolls, as it follows a 60 kilometre route through the city and its surrounds.
The ride will raise money for kids' cancer charity Camp Quality and will draw in riders from all over Australia.
Riders will meet at Flagstaff Hill, Wollongong, at 9.30am for a 10.00am departure.
