Gladius to replace the SV650

New middleweight in the Suzuki camp

Suzuki will replace its SV650 with an all-new naked machine - the SFV650 Gladius.

The fuel-injected 645cc 90-degree V-twin has a six-speed transmission, non-adjustable 41mm forks, a seven-step preload-adjustable shock and steel-tube trellis frame, reminiscent of the Ducati Monster.

The seat height is a very commuter friendly 785mm, and there are five-spoke cast aluminium-alloy wheels gripping Dunlop runner. ABS is an option.

Suzuki is producing the Gladius in three two-tones -- blue/white, purple/white and yellow/black - and black.

Suzuki is Australia is yet to announce if we'll see all four colours. Price and availability are also still to be determined.
