Agostini museum opens in Bergamo

Italian racing legend Giocomo Agostini now has his own museum. Motorcycling fans from across the world will now be able to immerse themselves in the incredible legacy of the 15-time world champion, who spent most of his time in MV Augusta colours. The museum is located in Agostini’s hometown of Bergamo, not far from Milan.

The museum was originally conceived as a private trophy room for Agostini to store his 350-plus trophy collection. It was designed by architect Michele Giavarini.

Inside the museum, visitors will find some of the historic bikes used by Agostini, as well as helmets, race suits and personal objects, all displayed in chronological order.

"The history of my life is all there in this one room, and being able to spend some time there alone with my thoughts, going back to those extraordinary memories, fills me with joy,” Agostini commented.

Agostini’s record speaks for itself. With 15 World Championship titles, 123 Grand Prix victories, 18 Italian Championship titles, ten Tourist Trophy wins and a total of 311 race wins, Agostini is one of the greatest racers of all time.

While the museum is private, entry is available upon reservation through Villa Vittoria Charme and Relax luxury bed and breakfast. Groups with a minimum of eight people are required. The resort is managed by Agostini’s daughter Vittoria, and offers a complete package including one-night accommodation, visit to the museum, and even dinner with the man himself.
