RACING: Gearing up for International Festival of Speed

Next month will see Sydney Motorsport Park come alive with the sights and sounds of some truly historic machinery, with the QBE Insurance International Festival of Speed set to grip the circuit over March 22 to 25.

This year's event will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Superbike World Championship, with proceedings spearheaded by multiple world champions Troy Bayliss and Troy Corser.

Also on hand will be motorcycling greats such as Frankie Chili, Jeremy McWilliams, Steve Parrish, Kevin Magee, Chris Vermeulen and world-renowned bike journalist Alan Cathcart, along with trade stands, motorcycle club stands, autograph sessions and more.

With a packed schedule of over 50 races, plus general public access to pit garages and the main grandstand, the International Festival of Speed has become a highlight on the global classic racing calendar for good reason.
