GASGAS has introduced two new models to its growing range, following a similar path to its KTM and Husqvarna stablemates.
The new GASGAS SM 700 and GASGAS ES 700 utilise the same 692.7cc single-cylinder engine that powers the KTM 690 Adventure R, KTM 690 SMC R, Husqvarna 701 Enduro, and Husqvarna 701 Supermoto.

Also featuring a proven chromoly frame, Bosch ABS, PASC slipper clutch, and a quickshifter, the new GASGAS platform is designed for street and dual-sport use.
The dirt-focused ES 700 features WP XPLOR suspension, while the SM 700 supermoto model adopts the road-friendly WP APEX setup.
In terms of styling and aesthetic design, both models take inspiration from the KTM and Husqvarna equivalents, but feature the signature GASGAS red and white paint scheme.
GASGAS joined the KTM Group in 2020 after years of changing ownership and financial turbulence, but the historic Spanish brand has now found some stability under the Austrian company.
The brand introduced a completely new enduro platform before adding a motocross range for the first time in its history. It has also continued to push its trials range and will now look to the street and adventure categories, following the lead of KTM and Husqvarna.
Local availability and pricing is yet to be revealed for the GASGAS ES 700 and SM 700, but we estimate the bikes will arrive on Australian soil in the second half of 2022.
