Spanish marque Gas Gas has announced details on its latest limited-edition 'TXT Racing Raga' 294cc two-stroke model, named in honour of its factory rider and two-time world champion Adam Raga.
The 2010 model TXT is a quantum leap forward, with the centrepiece of the single-cylinder machine a revised tubular frame, which is lighter and has a stronger rear shock mounting. Other features include a new and bigger airbox, a new rear mudguard, a new exhaust system, a new rear brake master cylinder, a new kickstart shaft, and new front and rear rims.
The TXT is also adorned with gold magnesium crankcases and clutch cover, aluminium footrests, a two-piece cylinder head, Sachs shock, Keihin carburetor, Michelin tyres and Renthal grips and bars. And it looks trick - period.
Dry weigh is 66kg, two less than the standard TXT Pro 300.
Production of the TXT Racing Raga has now started at the Gas Gas factory in Spain. Orders can be placed with Gas Gas dealers, where you can also get details on pricing.
Meanwhile, Raga is currently running second in this year's world outdoor title, still within reach of three-time defending champion and countryman Toni Bou, who rides a Honda-owned Montesa.
Raga won his two world outdoor championships in 2005 and 2006.
