Spanish off-road brand Gas Gas has revealed a raft of updates for its 2019 EC and XC line-up, with six models making their way to Aussie dealerships for the new model year.

Made up of the enduro EC 300/250/200 versions and the cross-country XC 300/250/200 models, the range benefits from a dual-map ignition allowing the rider to switch between Sun and Rain map, a redesigned cylinder head and an updated exhaust port as well as improvements to the electric-start system.
There’s a larger-capacity battery system to cope with the improvements as well as what Gas Gas is calling "an increase in thermodynamic performance" that results in more linear torque delivery. As well as the obligatory graphics tweaks, there’s new handlebar mounts and airbox cover.

Gas Gas also announced a new less-extreme ECRanger model aimed at recreational and hobby riders. Boasting a lower seat height and slightly lower-spec componentry and available in 200cc and 300cc guises, Australian distributor Urban Moto Imports told bikesales.com.au it does intend on adding the ECR to the Australian line-up, but later than the flagship competition machines.
The EC 250 and 300 models are already in Australia and carry a retail price of $11,990 and $12,490 respectively. The XC 250 ($11,690) and 300 ($11,990) will be hitting our shores in October, while the arrival of the XC 200 ($10,990) and XE 200 ($11,690) is yet to be confirmed.
Both the price and arrival dates of the ECR variants are still yet to be announced.
