Traditionally not much, however, all will appear at the Australian Motorcycle Expo Melbourne to make up the Pro Tour component of the three day exhibition of the latest motorbike models, equipment and accessories which will be on display at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on the 6 – 8 October.
The first event in the massive Pro Tour line-up will be the Honda FMX Indoor Nationals which will commence at 7.00pm on Friday 6 October when the first freestyle rider will take to the ramp to perform their first trick in front of the expo crowd.
At 12.00pm, the remaining two days of the expo, the first and second rounds of the Yamaha Stadium EnduroX will take place on a purpose-built track which will test Australia's leading enduro and motocross riders.
Already the Honda FMX Indoor Nationals has been dubbed one of the best freestyle motocross competitions in Australia, with massive prize money and the opportunity to perform in front of industry attracting premier riders Blake 'Bilko' Williams, Cam 'Sincs' Sinclair, Joel 'Balchy' Balchin and American member of the Metal Mulisha, Todd Potter.
"I can't wait to compete in Melbourne," Sinclair said, "There are not many freestyle competitions in Australia and all of the good riders will be there. I think it will be a pretty tough competition between me, Bilko (Blake Williams) and Balchy (Joel Balchin)."
"Being from Melbourne it is going to be good to compete in front of family and friends as I am usually away overseas. I hope all the other freestyle motocross fans in Melbourne can come and cheer us ."
Another component of the Honda FMX Indoor Nationals is the Motovert Pitbike Pro Tour where both Sinclair and Balchin will do battle on the highly popular 'pocket bikes'.
"It (pitbike competition) is always pretty funny and spectacular. Everybody just gets out there and has fun," Sinclair added.
At 12.00pm the following day the first round of the Yamaha Stadium EnduroX will be conducted at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre where riders will compete on a purpose built track consisting of man-made obstacles such as berms, log and water crossings.
The competition will not only feature some of the best dirt bike riders in Australia, but it will also contain a cross discipline battle when winner of the 2006 Yamaha Australian Off Road Series, AJ Roberts goes head-to-head with current leader of the 2006 Supercross Masters, Cheyne Boyd.
Traditionally, Roberts and Boyd would never compete against each other but the purpose-built track which contains features from both of their preferred disciplines will provide them the opportunity to settle the old argument of which discipline is better.
Event Organiser, Mark Petersen encourages individuals to get in early and purchase tickets to the Pro Tour events with seating limited to just 1800 people.
"Anybody wishing to attend the Pro Tour should jump onto www.protour.com.au and purchase tickets to the Honda FMX Indoor Nationals and Yamaha Stadium EnduroX," Petersen said, "With only 1800 tickets available for each event it is important to get in now to avoid disappointment."
