Reviving a 75-year-old moniker, Harley-Davidson has introduced the Hydra-Glide Revival to its Icons range for 2024, alongside a new ‘Tobacco Fade Enthusiast’ collection which sees guitar-inspired paint schemes for the Low Rider ST, Ultra Limited and Tri Glide Ultra.
The first Harley to feature a telescopic-fork front end, the 1949 FLH Hydra-Glide was an important model for the American firm, which it is paying tribute to with a limited run of 1750 units in its 2024 line-up.

Originally powered by the 74ci (1212cc) Panhead motor, the Hydra-Glide Revival uses the firm’s Milwaukee-Eight 114 (1868cc) power plant which also boasts a high-flow Screamin’ Eagle air cleaner.
The latest in a run of limited-edition models that began in 2021 with the Electra Glide Revival, followed by the Low Rider El Diablo in 2022 and the Electra Glide Highway King last year, the Hydra-Glide Revival’s red-and-white paintwork and tank badge pay tribute to the original platform’s popular 1956 model, while an insert on the handlebar riser displays which number in the production run each model is.

With only cosmetic changes separating the Low Rider ST, Ultra Limited and Tri Glide Ultra from their ‘standard’ counterpart, the styling of the Tobacco Fade Enthusiast Collection is said to be a nod to the influence the Motor Company has had over generations of musicians, with the firm likening the paintwork to what it’s calling “the warm finishes from rock ’n’ roll’s most famous guitars.”
As well as the brown-and-black ombre finish, all three models get a guitar pick graphic on front guard and a record-inspired fuel tank medallion.
Harley-Davidson Australia is yet to confirm pricing, but said the Enthusiast trio will start to land in Aussie dealers as early as next week, while the Hydra-Glide is still a couple of months away.
All four models will make their international debut at this year’s Daytona Bike Week which runs between 2-9 March.
