Former motorcycle journalist appears in ISIS video
Briton John Cantlie, who has been missing since November 2012, has now appeared in a video released by the Islamic StateBritish journalist John Cantlie, a name which will be familiar to many people who've read the country's motorcycle magazines over the last 15 years, has appeared in a new video released by ‘the Islamic State, also known as ISIS.
This video is not violent, but has Cantlie sitting behind a desk, speaking about the Islamic State's war with the Western world.
Cantlie hasn't been heard of since he was captured by ISIS in November 2012 – after months earlier escaping week-long detention in Syria by British Islamic extremists.
Cantlie loves adventure and, despite the danger, has kept returning to war-torn regions. Cantlie once did a feature on touring Iraq after he rode a bike out there during the Gulf War.
And in a less dangerous undertaking, he was once a companion to Princes William and Harry as they rode across Africa six years ago.
Let's hope he again gets to indulge his life-long passion for motorcycles one day soon.
