Foreign guns target Asia SuperMoto
The looming Newcastle event is attracting a growing cast of international starsThe FIM Asia SuperMoto, due to be held in the NSW city over September 3-4, is pulling in an increasingly long list of European stars, with British Supermoto Champion Chris Hodgson and Spaniard Ivan Romero Garcia being the latest guns to sign on for the event.
A 10-time British Supermoto Champion, Hodgson will be returning to defend his 2015 Newcastle City SuperMoto title.
"I am looking forward to returning to Newcastle for the 2016 event," he said.
"This will be my third visit to Australia. While I am excited to be racing some of the world's best racers I am really looking forward to spending some more time in Newcastle; it is a great city and I would hope to be able to see more of the region.
"I think Boris [Chambon] will be a big threat on track. Being a former world champion he is definitely fast."
