Australian-born smart helmet company Forcite has teamed up with a luxury New York audio brand to produce new high-end speakers for its MK1S helmets.
Master & Dynamic is based in New York City and is globally recognised as a manufacturer of premium headphones, earphones, speakers, and audio accessories.
With the aim of bringing high fidelity sound to the already high-tech MK1S helmet, the Forcite x M&D speakers feature a 40mm driver with a thickness of 9.11mm and a more expansive driver motion designed to guarantee high fidelity.

The speakers apparently have the ability to reproduce frequencies ranging from 20Hz to 20kHz and an impedance of 32 ohms. Designed specifically for motorcycling, the speakers are made to achieve extremely low distortion levels, delivering clear sound up to 125dB.
When fitted to a Forcite MK1S helmet, the speakers are set within a specially designed cavity containing a sound-deadening disc that reduces the external noise and optimises the acoustics. There are also speaker spacers available for a personalised fit.
And for all the non-audiophiles out there, all of this tech talk translates to speakers that are designed to produce bloody good in-helmet audio.

There are two options available to customers. Existing Forcite MK1S owners can purchase the M&D upgrade for $199. Alternatively, the speakers can be purchased in conjunction with a new MK1S helmet for $1498 (not including other accessories). The speakers aren’t compatible with previous models.
The Forcite MK1S is the latest smart helmet from the Australian company, and features a wide array of innovative technology including an in-built camera and microphone, a head-up display, and in-built audio capabilities.
