Forcite reveals latest high-tech smart helmet

The Forcite MK1S arrives after two years of development with 10 design engineers and a whopping $10.1 million investment.
Improving on the highly-successful MK1 smart helmet, the new MK1S offers improved technology and new features across audio, visual, and road alert systems.

Headlining the unique list of features is a Forcite app-based road alert system that communicates to the rider via an in-helmet, peripheral vision-diffused LED display. The system gives information on navigation, speed traps, mobile camera alerts, and live traffic conditions.
The Forcite MK1S also features high-end, in-helmet audio powered by removable, 40mm Harman Kardon speaker drivers. The improved audio system offers a seamless design that doesn’t require any installation, as well as wind reduction and vocal clarity for phone calls and video.
The in-built camera has also been improved to offer better video quality, especially in low-light conditions. It features a high-impact design and a wider-angle lens, as well as HD resolution with 1080p at 30-60fps, H.264 encoding, and a ¼-inch Sony IMX sensor.
For added safety and comfort, the helmet itself has also been improved with redesigned 3D-formed foam padding, a new neck roll design, and premium sweat wick materials, as well as a new Pinlock Max Vision 120 visor, an internal sun visor, and a lightweight ECE-approved construction.
Forcite also offers a unique aftercare service. In the event of a crash, or if the helmet is dropped, owners can have the shell replaced and the tech components salvaged. The electronics can be replaced at no cost, with the owner only having to pay for the replacement shell.
Pre-orders for the Forcite MK1S are now open with the first units expected to arrive in June. The lid will cost $1299, and every example will be built to order in Sydney as per the customer’s size, finish, and customisations.
