For sale: Aussie MX race-winning YZ250Fs
No prepping required, ready to ride (fast)It's not often that motocross racebikes of this breed are offered for sale to the general public, as they are normally snapped up quickly -- by family, friends and associates -- before anyone else gets a look in.
But somehow Yamaha Motor Australia has broken the mould and is now offering 10 2009-model YZ250Fs for sale, with the details as follows:
- Six ex-Serco Yamahas, as ridden by Kirk Gibbs and Mitch Hoad. Fully reconditioned, $7500 each.
- One spare bike, under 10 hours' use, with a Craig Dack Racing (CDR) cylinder head. $7500.
- Three U19 racebikes with less than 20 hours and complete with CDR kit (head, camshaft, ignition, clutch and wet sump). As ridden by 2009 champion Luke Styke and his teammates Ross Beaton and Harley Quinlan. $8000 each.
All bikes have been professionally maintained, are in superb condition and ready to ride away.
