FLHTRU glides in

But only one example of the distinctive-looking model to gauge the level of interest for the local market

Harley-Davidson Australia is bringing the Road Glide Ultra Down Under.

That’s the word according to Harley-Davidson Australia marketing manager Adrian O’Donoughue, although before you rush out and try and buy one there’s only one example of the model on the way.

The model is currently not part of Harley-Davidson Australia’s line-up, but O’Donoughue is keen to gauge market reaction to the Road Glide Ultra.

“We’ll bring one in and let potential customers have and look and get it out there so the motorcycle press can try it,” said O’Donoughue.

The Road Glide Ultra has a distinctive look courtesy of its frame-mounted shark-nose fairing. Other distinctive features include injection-moulded GTX saddlebags, air-adjustable suspension and ABS brakes as standard.

No price has been indicated at this stage, nor any potential date for its Australian release. Watch this space…
