The Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (FCAI) has joined forces with the all-new Moto Expo concept, which recently held its maiden show in Brisbane.
The first exhibition under the new tie-up will be Moto Expo at the Melbourne showgrounds from November 28-30 with over 30,000 square meters of exhibition and entertainment space.
“We are excited to be bringing Moto Expo to Melbourne,” said Moto Expo founder Troy Bayliss. ”The feedback from Brisbane was very positive and we look forward to delivering another market leading motorcycle exhibition that will showcase the industry in the best way possible. ?.
“The Melbourne Showgrounds provide the perfect location with the major exhibition halls and outdoor entertainment area’s all joined to ensure both the visitors and exhibitors can enjoy the show.”
FCAI is the peak industry organisation representing the manufacturers and importers of passenger vehicles, light commercial vehicles and motorcycles in Australia.
Only recently, the Bikesales Network reported that Exhibition and Trade Fairs, which ran the Australian Motorcycle Expos for the FCAI, had decided not to go ahead with a Melbourne event in 2014, declaring "that there’s not enough room for two shows” in the Victorian capital.
If ETF hadn't withdrawn its services, two major motorcycle shows would have been held on consecutive weekends in Melbourne this November -- an absurd situation which would have been extremely unpalatable for manufacturers, and diluted the experience for consumers.
Moto Expo Melbourne will include:
• Australia’s largest display of new motorcycles
• Kids ‘Come and Try Zone’
• Vintage, custom, classic and performance motorcycle displays
• Custom Garage, including workshops for motorcycle enthusiasts to learn modification tips and techniques
• Huge line-up of live motorcycle entertainment from Australia’s top riders
• Demonstrations from host and three-time world superbike champion Troy Bayliss
• Massive clearance sale area featuring apparel, helmets, safety gear, boots and more
