Is Cagiva about to launch a 500cc version of its sexy Mito 125? That's what the folk at UK Motorcycle News are claiming, though it’s far from being confirmed.
Speculation over the last few months has variously said the new mid-sized bike would run either a 650 Hyosung twin or a 500cc Husqvarna four-stroke single. The latter seems far more likely if the factory plans to keep the bike similar in size and shape to the original tiddler.
A 500 version could be a sensational and very compact sports bike and might even be enough to revive the flagging fortunes of the Sounds of Singles racing around the world.
Meanwhile the 125 two-stroke has come in for a revamp (pictured), including new styling and electronically-controlled induction to keep the powerplant within new environment regs.
