Fairway-friendly motorcycle "golf cart" headed for Australia

Platypus Golf Club is the Australian importer for the Finn Cycle electric two-wheeler

Motorcycles aren’t normally welcome on the golf course, but a fairway-friendly electric two-wheeler is now headed for Australia, and it’s got space for your golf bag and beers.

Montana-based start-up Finn Cycle claims its two wheel “golf cart” is good for a claimed 26km/h and a range of at least 36 holes (or approximately 50km).

The bike is powered by a 1000 watt-hour lithium battery and a patented 48V brushless motor and features motorcycle-style front and rear suspension, low-PSI tyres to minimise turf impact, front and rear disc brakes, and room for your bag.

Platypus Golf Club is the exclusive Australian importer for Finn and currently lists the bike with a starting price of $5399. There are also several accessories available including umbrellas, custom fenders, and a spare battery.

According to Platypus, the Finn beats traditional golf carts in terms of price, speed, round time, and, most importantly, beer carrying capacity (though we’re not sure how accurate that last one is).
