Ducati has pulled the covers off yet another limited-edition model, with the Ducati Panigale V2 Superquadro Final Edition serving as a final tribute to the Superquadro engine family that kicked off in 2011 with the Ducati 1199 Panigale.
The Superquadro format, comprising a 90-degree L-twin with desmodromic valve gear and four valves per cylinder, has appeared in several displacements through the years, including 898cc and 955cc, as well the 1285cc unit which Ducati says set a high-tide mark for twin-cylinder power output.
The Superquadro engine also propelled racer Nicolo Bulega to ultimate success in the 2023 World Supersport Championship, while the engine was also behind the title-winning machines of the MotoAmerica Supersport title in 2022 and 2023.
Now, in what Ducati terms as “the climax of a long series”, the format has been celebrated in an exclusive new model, with production of the Ducati Panigale V2 Superquadro Final Edition to be limited to 555 units worldwide.
With a displacement of 955cc and producing claimed maximum output of 155hp (114kW) at 10,750rpm and 104Nm at 9000rpm, the exclusive model comes with the following standard features:
• Monocoque chassis
• 17-litre aluminium fuel tank
• Fully adjustable Öhlins suspension and steering damper
• Brembo brakes
• Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa II tyres
• Sophisticated electronics package including a choice of ride and power modes, cornering ABS, engine brake control, traction control, wheelie control, bi-directional quickshifter, and more
On top of all that, this limited-edition model comes with the following exclusive features:
• Dedicated Superquadro livery, single rider’s seat, dash animation and key
• Numbered billet aluminium triple clamp
• Carbonfibre silencer end cap, front and rear guards, swingarm protection, chain guard, clutch cover, and shock protector
