Exclusive 2025 KTM 450 Rally Replica revealed

The KTM 450 Rally Replica has long been an object of desire for offroad riders. After all, who wouldn’t salivate over a replica of the bike that has won Dakar a record 10 times?

KTM reckons the 450 Rally Replica is the only bike available to customers that is produced and built entirely within the KTM Motorsports facility in Austria. That makes it a highly exclusive machine, and possibly the most expensive dirt bike you can buy. We don't know the price but expect to pay upwards of $50,000.

As a result of that exclusivity, only 100 units will be made available to customers around the world, with the target audience aspiring and ambitious rally-raid competitors.

For 2025, the KTM 450 Rally Replica has been given what the Austrian firm says is the biggest update since 2020. That means an overhauled powerplant, fresh bodywork, and a refined chassis developed by the KTM Factory Racing team.

The fuel-injected 450cc motor is a retuned version of the motor found in KTM’s motocross and enduro machines. The updated donk has a redesigned SOHC cylinder head, a reinforced clutch, and a “strengthened” gearbox.

Additionally, the bike now utlises two separate radiators for cooling, whereas the previous version only used one.

The new frame has been welded by hand in the KTM Motorsports production facility and has been assembled from laser-cut and hydro-formed sections, with “specifically calculated longitudinal and torsional flex parameters”. There is also a new hollow die-cast aluminium swingarm.

A 16-litre self-supporting fuel tank doubles as the subframe, while there are two additional 9- and 9.5-litre tanks at the front of the bike. The total fuel capacity of the bike is an impressive 34.5 litres.

KTM has fitted the Rally Replica with the latest WP Pro components with a 48mm WP XACT Pro 7548 closed cartridge cone valved fork at the front, and a WP XACT Pro 7750 shock at the rear. The CNC machined triple clamp features an in-house developed PHDS system and is fitted with a Scotts steering dampener.

The bodywork of the bike has been refreshed with a shaper profile, while the lightweight carbon-fibre navigation tower gets a narrower dashboard, integrated warning lights and mountings for a digital roadbook system, and a new LED headlight system.

There is also a unique space for tools integrated into the engine cover, giving riders quick access to wrenches when out on the trail.
