Ex-Harley boss joins Polaris

Peter Nochar has joined the company’s motorcycle division in a sales and dealer engagement role

Polaris Industries' local motorcycle division -- Victory and Indian Motorcycle – has appointed Peter Nochar to the newly created senior position of Director Sales & Network – Motorcycles.

Nochar joins Polaris after five-and-a-half years as managing director at another American heavyweight – Harley-Davidson.

“I am very excited to be joining the motorcycle team and hope I can make a worthy contribution,” said Nochar.  “I am sure there is huge potential for both the Victory and Indian Brands and I look forward to contributing to their success and having fun along the way.”

Nochar has enjoyed a long career in the automotive industry, and his CV includes stints at Volkswagen and Kia before taking the helm at Harley-Davidson Australia in 2008. His specialities are in sales, customer satisfaction, team leadership and dealer engagement.

Nochar is the second senior industry leader to join Polaris this year, with former Suzuki motorcycle boss Perry Morrison taking up the mantle of Executive Director – Government Relations in April.
