EnduroCross for Moto Expo Melbourne
Riders will compete on a tight track built from a range of obstacle including rocks, logs and tyres on the weekend of November 29-30EnduroCross competition will be held during Moto Expo Melbourne at the Melbourne Showgrounds on the weekend of November 29-30.
The invitation-only event will see 20 riders from Australia and overseas race head-to-head on a custom-designed and built track by Dave and Collin Robbins from the successful EnduroX series.
Riders will compete on a tight track built from a range of obstacle including rocks, logs and tyres, with racing to take place at 2:00pm on Saturday and Sunday.
Event organiser Troy Bayliss said spectators would be able view this brand new format of Enduro X racing up close.
“It is an incredible achievement to be bringing the best off-road racers to Melbourne to compete on a man-made track which is virtually in the middle of the CBD,” Bayliss said. “To watch riders who have won the Finke Desert Race, competed in Dakar and raced the best In the world going head-to- head, competing for a winner-take-all cash prize each day is a once in a lifetime opportunity."
Confirmed riders include multiple Australian Four Day Enduro champion Daniel Milner, four-time Finke Desert Race winner Ben Grabham and reigning EnduroX champion Chris Hollis. A full list of riders will be announced in coming weeks.
Entry into Moto Expo Melbourne, which begins on Friday, November 28, includes access to the EnduroCross and Baylisstic Scramble.
Free undercover motorcycle parking will be available within the showground’s for all visitors.
