Dirt bike fans who live in or around Victoria’s capital should make a beeline for Calder Park Raceway on Sunday, February 3, to catch all the action of the 2013 InsureMyRide Enduro-X.
'Enduro Cross', as it's known, has been thrilling crowds in the USA and Europe for some eight years now, and it's been growing in popularity in Australia in recent years. A blend of supercross and enduro, Enduro-X is held on a closed circuit and rewards riders with a broad range of skills drawn from both disciplines.
The 2013 InsureMyRide Enduro-X will see the likes of Aussie stars Toby Price (Motorex KTM), Daniel Milner (Dack Yamaha Team) and Chris Hollis (Motorex KTM) do battle for a share of $14,000 in prize money, along with Jarrod Bewley (Husaberg), Ben Grabham (Motorex KTM) and many more. The locals won’t have all their own way, however, as Americans Kyle Redmond (an Enduro-X expert who also finished fourth in the gruelling Erzberg Rodeo) and Wally Palmer will also be there, and looking to upstage the Aussies on their home turf.
Complementing the Pro and Expert classes are Clubman, Over 35, Junior and Women’s categories, ensuring a packed schedule from 10.00am to 5.00pm.
The 2013 InsureMyRide Enduro-X will be held at Calder Park Raceway, with entry via Calder Park Drive. Tickets are available at the gate: adults $30; concessions and kids under 16 $15; kids under 10 $5. There is secure parking on site for a gold coin donation to the local CFA branch and the event has wheelchair access. For more information visit www.enduro-x.com.au
