Australia Post is updating its fleet, which means goodbye to the CT110 and hello to the more contemporary Super Cub
The familiar image of an Aussie postie atop a red Honda CT110 will shortly be consigned to the pages of history, as Australia Post is updating its fleet of CT with the more modern Super Cub.
The delivery of new Super Cubs – in green, not the red with which Australia Post is synonymous – began in April 2013, and will continue in coming months until the rollout is complete.
“The CT110 really was at the end of its product life cycle – the new Super Club is a far more modern machine, with electric start and electronic fuel injection,” said Honda Australia’s Marketing Manager Motorcycle, Glyn Griffiths.
Like the out-going CT, the Super Cub is powered by a 110cc single-cylinder engine, and the new-look workhorse – complete with fluoro yellow mail bags – can already been seen rolling the streets in many Aussie neighbourhoods.
