Australian importer Urban Moto Imports (UMI) will announce a new three-tiered range of electric-powered motorcycles at this week’s Moto Expo in Melbourne.
Branded Super Soco, the lightweight machines appear to use high-quality componentry and modern styling, a mix UMI is hoping will appeal to riders looking for green, affordable and practical transport.
Three models will form the Australian line-up for 2019, with a sporty-looking faired offering called the TS, a naked retro-styled variant called the TC, as well as a scooter version dubbed the C-UX.
While specifications, power capabilities and battery range are yet to be announced, the images reveal details like disc brakes, LED lighting and LCD instruments.
“We are in a forever changing landscape for both motorcycles, motorcycle culture and transport for the general public,” UMI CEO Joe Elasmar said. “Electric powered vehicles are already beginning to become the norm and we are very confident it will lead the way in the electric motorcycles space.”
The Chinese-based brand was launched in 2015, has since picked up a swathe of design and innovation awards and now exports its electric offerings to 54 different countries around the world.
Full details will be revealed when the doors of Melbourne’s Moto Expo are flung open at 10:00am on Friday, November 25 running through to 4:00pm on Sunday, November 25.
