Positioned between a roadster and an adventure tourer, the SV-7GX joins the Japanese brand’s expanding middleweight line-up as a versatile, rider-friendly model.
Sharing its underlying design concept with the GSX-S1000GX, it’s powered by the firm’s proven 645cc 90-degree V-twin that has underpinned the SV range for more than two decades.

The liquid-cooled DOHC engine delivers a broad, linear torque curve and familiar V-twin pulse through uneven firing intervals, now updated with Euro 5+ compliance. A ride-by-wire throttle integrates with Suzuki’s Intelligent Ride System incorporating three selectable power maps via the Suzuki Drive Mode Selector, three traction-control modes plus off, and a bi-directional quickshifter. Low RPM Assist and Easy Start functions round out the electronics.
The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox and quickshifter, with claimed fuel economy of 4.2lt/100km.

Underpinning the SV-7GX is a tubular steel trellis frame matched to a box-section swingarm. Suspension comprises a 41mm telescopic fork with 125mm of travel and a link-type monoshock offering preload adjustment and 129mm of travel. Dual 290mm front discs with four-piston calipers and a 240mm rear disc provide braking power, backed by standard ABS.
Cast aluminium 10-spoke wheels wear Pirelli Angel GT II tyres in 120/70ZR17 and 160/60ZR17 sizes. Kerb weight is listed at 211kg, with a 795mm seat height, 135mm of ground clearance and 17.4-litre tank capacity.
Touring practicality comes from a three-step adjustable windscreen, integrated hand guards and a standard rear rack with grab rails. The upright ergonomics are aided by a one-piece aluminium handlebar set closer to the rider than on the SV650, while the reshaped, thicker-padded seat supports both comfort and accessibility.

Lighting is full LED, a 4.2-inch full-colour TFT display provides clear instrumentation and smartphone integration through Suzuki Ride Connect +, enabling navigation, notifications, weather and traffic alerts, trip data and parked-location recall. A USB-C charging port is standard.
Available in blue, black or greige (which, just as it sounds, is a blend of grey and beige), sales will begin in 2026, initially in Europe and North America, with Australian availability yet to be confirmed.
