EICMA: Suzuki Burgman 400

Will be reintroduced into the Australian market for the first time in three years, joining the 250cc and 650cc iterations

Suzuki unveiled an updated Burgman 400 scooter at the recent EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, with Suzuki Australia simultaneously announcing that it will be reintroduced into the local market for the first time since 2014.

Due to arrive in the second quarter of 2017, the updates to the Burgman 400 – the first major ones since 2006 – include enhanced styling (less bulbous, more slimmer), weight loss, and a 399cc Euro 4-spec single-cylinder engine which delivers more torque at low to midrange.

The seat is now 20mm thicker, while the updated cut-away footboards and slim seat make it easier to reach the ground. The backrest is adjustable on the rider's seat, and there's 42 litres of underseat storage

The ABS-equipped scooter now a 15-ionch front wheel, and there's seven-way preload adjustment at the rear.

Suzuki Australia is yet to announce price for the updated Burgman 400.
