Following last year’s unveiling of the road-oriented Flying Flea C6 at EICMA, Royal Enfield used this year’s show to pull the covers off the new S6 which brings the same electric technology to a tougher, dual-purpose package aimed at both urban and light off-road riding.
It sits within Royal Enfield’s Flying Flea city+ division, which develops lightweight electric bikes for urban riders. The Flying Flea name traces back to a lightweight Royal Enfield motorcycle developed during the Second World War, designed to be dropped by parachute for military dispatch riders. The new models revive that historic name for a new generation of bikes built with a similar focus on simplicity and light weight.

The latest S6 is powered by a high-torque motor housed within a finned magnesium battery case that aids cooling and reduces weight. Its chassis features an upside-down front fork, chain final drive and 19-inch front and 18-inch rear spoked aluminium wheels, paired with long-travel suspension and an enduro-style seat for optimal control on mixed surfaces.
Styling references the original Flying Flea’s function-first design, with bodywork details that blend forward-looking elements at the front and heritage cues at the rear, converging in a wing-shaped central motif that represents a new visual signature for the brand. A round, high-resolution touchscreen display blends heritage form with connected capability, incorporating navigation, ride modes and voice assist.
The system runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon QWM2290 processor with 4G, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, supported by NXP microcontrollers managing data, energy flow and secure communication.

Standard equipment includes switchable dual-channel cornering ABS, lean-angle sensitive traction control and a dedicated off-road mode. The Vehicle Control Unit, which was developed in-house, allows thousands of ride mode combinations that adapt to rider input. It means the onboard control system constantly adjusts how the bike responds, blending settings for power delivery, braking and traction in real time to match the rider’s inputs.
Connectivity extends to smartwatch and app integration, offering keyless ride, charging status, mode selection and vehicle diagnostics, while over-the-air updates maintain software evolution over time.

Developed by more than 200 engineers across India and the UK, the S6 continues Royal Enfield’s work to modernise its classic spirit for a new generation.
Production will take place at the company’s Vallam Vadagal facility in Tamil Nadu, India, with launch expected in late 2026.
