EICMA: Honda RC213V-S prototype

That's right: a road-going version of the MotoGP championship-winning machine!

Honda’s seemingly answered the question that a lot of people have been asking: a road-going version of the awesome RC213V MotoGP weapon.

The bike, the biggest news in MotoGP replica land since Ducati released the Desmosedici RR based on Casey Stoner’s 2007 world championship-winning machine, is called the RC213V-S Prototype and was ridden onto the stage at this year’s EICMA motorcycle show in Milan by none other than Marc Marquez.

Marquez’s version was fully functioning and clothed in carbon fibre, while Honda also had a static version on display in Milan painted with a Japanese flag to mark 100 years of EICMA.

Honda didn’t divulge anything else about the prototype, but we’re hoping the company will perhaps spill the beans at the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show, which has become quite a focal point for prototype announcements in recent years.
