The new Hypermotard family replaces the outgoing 950 models and celebrates two decades since the original concept debuted in 2005. Two versions will be offered – the Hypermotard V2 and the up-spec Hypermotard V2 SP – both sharing a new chassis, engine and electronics package designed to deliver lighter handling and stronger real-world performance.
Power comes from an 890cc 90-degree V-twin with Ducati’s IVT variable-valve timing, producing 89.5kW(120hp) at 10,750rpm and 94Nm at 8250rpm. The Euro 5+ compliant engine is matched to a six-speed gearbox with Ducati Quick Shift 2.0 and a slipper clutch.

A new aluminium monocoque frame uses the engine as a stressed member, contributing to weight savings of 13kg on the V2 and 14kg on the SP compared with the outgoing 950. Suspension is handled by a fully adjustable 46mm KYB fork and monoshock on the V2, while the SP gets Öhlins NIX30 and STX46 units, a Sachs steering damper and forged aluminium wheels that save 1.56kg over the V2’s cast units.
Both use a double-sided aluminium swingarm and a 1517mm wheelbase. Braking is via Brembo M4.32 calipers on the V2 and higher-spec M50s on the SP.

Electronics are managed by a six-axis IMU that enables cornering ABS, traction, wheelie and engine-brake control, with four riding modes of Race, Sport, Road and Wet. ABS includes a slide-by-brake mode and the SP also gains Ducati Power Launch and a pitlane speed limiter as standard. A five-inch TFT display features Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation and Ducati Multimedia System compatibility.
Styling references the original Hypermotard, with underseat exhausts, twin-wing side panels and an exposed trellis-style subframe. The seat height is high at 880mm, but Ducati says ergonomics have been revised for greater comfort and control. The Hypermotard V2 is available in Ducati Red, while the SP adopts a 20th anniversary livery with gold Öhlins hardware, carbon front guard and white forged wheels.
Australian deliveries begin in October 2026.

Ducati also announced minor updates to the Monster and Monster+ models for MY26, including revised styling details and ergonomic refinements. The long-running 937cc Testastretta-powered nakedbike continues unchanged mechanically, retaining its aluminium frame, 82.8kW (111hp) output and S.I.R.S. electronic suite, but gains new graphics and finish options to align it visually with the latest Hypermotard range.
