EICMA: BMW HP4 RACE
It's not all about Ducati with its show-stopping Superleggera superbike in Milan, with BMW chiming in with its own work of artBMW has given us a glimpse of its most exclusive model in its storied history – the HP4 RACE.
Not a massive amount of information has been made public about the hand-built "advanced prototype", but we do know it has a carbon fibre frame and wheels.
The President of BMW Motorrad, Stephan Schaller, said in Milan that more details will be revealed about the bike from March 2017, and supplies of the limited-edition bike will commence in the second half of 2017.
Ducati's 1299 Superleggera dominated the headlines on the opening day of EICMA, using components and materials usually reserved for one-off concepts. Read more here about the 215hp/146.5Nm bike which weighs in at 156kg.
