BMW has joined Honda (here) and Kawasaki (Versus-X 300) in releasing small capacity adventure fare at the world's largest motorcycle show in Milan this week, its creation called the G 310 GS.
Based on the G 310 R (here), the new machine has a 19-inch front wheel and longer suspension travel, and it's powered by a 313cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine with an output of 34hp (25kW) and 28Nm. Dry weight is 169.5kg, and there's anti-lock braking.
The chassis is held together via a tubular steel frame and upside-down forks.
No word yet from BMW Australia about price or availability -- but we may have to be patient as the G 310 R isn't even on sale yet.
Suzuki also got in on the 'baby' adventure craze in late October 2016 when it unveiled the V-Strom 250 in China (here).
