Ducati has previewed the 2026 DesertX and unveiled two special-edition Panigale V2 models honouring its factory MotoGP riders at EICMA 2025 in Milan.
First shown as a prototype in 2022, the DesertX marked Ducati’s entry into the large-capacity adventure segment with a 21-inch front wheel and genuine off-road intent. Three years into production, the 2026 model takes that concept further with upgraded suspension featuring a progressive rear linkage and an overall lighter build.

At 206kg (without fuel), the new DesertX benefits from a revised chassis and Ducati’s new V2 IVT engine, producing (82kW)110hp at 9000rpm and 92Nm at 7000rpm. Ducati says the engine delivers improved versatility and stronger performance both on- and off-road.
Full specifications will be released in February 2026, ahead of European availability in May and wider rollout to Australia, Japan and North America in August.
Also shown in Milan were two limited-edition versions of the Panigale V2, celebrating Ducati Lenovo Team riders Marc Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia. Produced in numbered series, the Panigale V2 MM93 and Panigale V2 FB63 feature forged wheels that trim 1.5kg of unsprung weight, an Öhlins steering damper, lowered clip-ons, a billet top yoke, MotoGP-style grips and a racing windscreen.

The MM93 edition wears the red-and-white livery used by the now nine-time world champ during his first official Ducati test in Barcelona, while the FB63 edition reflects Bagnaia’s black-and-red camouflage design from his 2025 race gear.
