MV Agusta’s pinched some pre-EICMA headlines with the launch of its tricked-up F3 Competizione Superport machine, with only 300 units of the 798cc machine to be manufactured at the company’s Varese factory in 2025.
The exclusive machine speaks in pure performance and artistic tones, in what the KTM-owned MV says is a “celebration of sportiness, aesthetic refinement and technical excellence”.
And with a 14kg weight reduction over the donor F3 RR, the power-to-weight ratio is an impressive 0.9hp/kg.
What sets the Competizione apart from the RR is primarily the chassis, thanks to its collaboration with Öhlins. The fork is the NIX30 fully adjustable upside-down model with 43mm TiN-coated stanchions, while the Öhlins TTX 36 shock absorber has dual-tube technology and an external piggyback reservoir.
Completing the premium Öhlins package is the 19-position adjustable steering damper, ensuring absolute stability on both the road and the racetrack.
Meanwhile, unsprung weight is lower thanks to carbon wheels, with obvious benefits for handling and agility. The standard battery has been jettisoned for a lithium-ion version, saving more weight, and output is 160hp (117kW) at 13,500rpm and 88Nm at 10,100rpm with a titanium Akrapovic exhaust.
There’s also a new nine-disk assist and slipper clutch, carbon fibre aerodynamics, and a full electronics package to make the F3 Competizione start, stop and turn with authority – which, of course, includes launch control. The machine also comes with dedicated racing kit.
A standout aesthetic feature is the gold finish on certain components, particularly the front brake disc flanges and the rear sprocket.
No word yet on price or how many units have been allocated to Australia.
