Bold personalities don’t come much more emphatic than the Super Duke GT sports tourer, and in 2025 KTM is at it again with the upgraded 1390 Super Duke GT.
Now boasting a displacement of 1350cc (up from 1301cc for the current 1290) and sharing the same LC8 V-twin engine as the 2024 KTM 1390 Super Duke R Evo power and torque are now at heady heights of 188hp (140kW) and 145Nm respectively.

That’s adrenalin right there, but such is the refinement of efficiency of KTM’s big-bore twin that it’ll also easily – and happily – lope along a freeway at 110km/h. However, that said, fifth and sixth gears are now shorter and “no longer considered to be overdrive gears at moderate speeds”, so there’s going to be insane acceleration wherever you look…
Other than increased capacity, other updates over the 1301cc engine include a centrally positioned ram air intake, redesigned air box and a wider radiator.

The 2025 1390 Super Duke GT also shares the same chassis as the Duke R Evo with increased torsional stiffness and a lower centre of gravity, and the bike is fitted with the latest spec WP APEX semi-active suspension with a heavily revised ‘Comfort’ mode for longer days in the saddle.
Brembo Stylema monobloc brakes to provide retardation for the GT, while Cornering ABS, Supermoto ABS as well as the new Supermoto+ and Sport ABS modes provide riders with multiple options.

Dry weight is 213kg (up from 209kg compared to the 1290 Duke GT), while fuel capacity has dropped from 23 to 19.5 litres.
The new 8.8-inch TFT touchscreen dashboard benefits from a simplified menu structure operated via all-new handlebar switch cubes. Ride modes are Rain, Street, Sport as well as a new Custom choice, and radar adds a host of features such as adaptive cruise control, brake assist and distance assist.
The 2025 1390 Super Duke GT will be available from authorised KTM dealerships in Australia and New Zealand from April 2025 onwards.
