Just as Moto Guzzi’s road-going Mandello gets the off-road treatment in the form of the newly announced Stelvio, the firm’s V85 TT adventure bike has been given the on-road treatment to create the 2024 V85 Strada.
Powered by an updated version of the V85 engine – which the standard V85 TT, the V85 TT Travel and the new V85 Strada are all set to receive for 2024 – the 853cc transverse V-twin now sports variable-valve timing which, as well as Euro 5+ compliancy, contributes to a slight boost in power and torque to 60kW and 83Nm.
The road-biased Strada still rolls on a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel, however they’re shod in more road-oriented rubber, while the front guard is mounted slightly lower than the V85 TT variant. It gets the same three switchable riding modes as the TT in Road, Rain, and Sport, however does away with the fourth Off-Road mode, while the platform gains a new six-axis IMU which introduces cornering ABS to the suite of electronic rider aids.
Common to both the TT versions and the Strada are a new manually adjustable windscreen, updated switch blocks and, of course, a new five-inch TFT dash. Both the headlight mounting brackets and passenger grab rails are now aluminium instead of steel.
As well as hard panniers, the top-tier V85 TT Travel adds heated grips and seat, a larger windshield, the firm’s MIA multimedia platform as well a fifth Custom mode as standard fitment.
