A new strategic development plan to include urban mobility has seen MV Agusta unveil an electric scooter concept at EICMA overnight, which it says “is perfectly in line with MV Agusta DNA.”
A collaboration with scooter brand Kymco and based on the Taiwanese firm’s S7 platform, it uses a zero-emission powertrain in a machine that’s been styled to pay homage to the Ovunque scooter, one of MV’s most collectible models from the 1950s.

As well as aiming for comfortable ergonomics for riders of all sizes, the firm says the finer details are still being evaluated, but power will be supplied by a 4.1kW electric motor supported by two 1.7kWh removable Ionex batteries to offer a claimed range of 85km.
In its concept form the scooter weighs 95kg without the batteries, or 121kg with two batteries fitted and, unlike current electric scooters that offer owners the option of a two-battery setup, having an extra one installed won’t eat into the available underseat storage.
Range can be optimised thanks to switchable riding modes, Normal and Sport, while the keyless ignition will control the ignition, steering and seat locks. Features still being evaluated are the braking system (ABS versus a linked system), and whether to include commuter-specific accessories such as a topbox.
