Moto Guzzi unveiled a new retro roadster variant at Italy’s recent EICMA motorcycle expo, with the 2023 Moto Guzzi V9 Bobber Special Edition featuring a new “dark look”, along with a number of new aluminium components and a slip-on exhaust.
While retaining the V9 Bobber’s same essential chassis and engine package, along with the oversize tyres that hark back to dirt track racing in America’s post-WWII era, the newcomer boasts a ‘Workshop’ two-tone black-and-grey paint scheme on its metal teardrop tank, the latter with billet aluminium fuel cap.
The bike also has aluminium side panels and bar-end mirrors, along with black fork gaiters and a chopped front guard.

The 2023 Moto Guzzi V9 Bobber Special Edition is powered by the brand’s 853cc transverse V-twin engine, good for a claimed 65hp (47.8kW) at 6800rpm and 73Nm at 5000rpm, in a package tipping the scales at a relatively svelte 210kg (wet).
Meanwhile, Moto Guzzi says the bike’s soulful V-twin beat is enhanced by the new street-legal slip-on exhaust, finished in aluminium and matt black.
And with a 785mm seat height and an upright, relaxed ride position, the Moto Guzzi V9 Bobber Special Edition should have broad appeal for riders spanning a wide range of heights.
